Bringing History to life.
At Castle Hill Heritage Skills CIC we are passionate about connecting people today with the skills and knowledge of the past through hands on experiences, storytelling adventures and creative activities.
We teach skills from different time periods to inspire and engage students to be curious and to create connections to the past.
Our ethos is to immerse students in dynamic activities for a deeper learning experience. Students engage with the context of the past through everyday skills, and understand the complexity of people's lives. We engage students through comparison and critical thinking, as we endeavour to create transferable knowledge to different contexts.
“Their enthusiasm is infectious. Every week they come in buzzing, eager to tell us what they remember and ready to dive into the next challenge. This is learning that builds confidence, teamwork and imagination.” G.Spraklen, Headteacher, Prince of Wales School, in the Dorset Echo, 27th November 2025.
“Jen and Anthony bring an authenticity and passion that is simply exceptional. They make complex concepts accessible and exciting. As a school, we’re incredibly proud of this partnership.”
We have worked with hundreds of enthusiastic school children, numerous craft course students, members of the public presenting Living History Skills and Elderly Residential Home Residents showing ways of life from the past.
